A lawyer by profession, Ishani is an experienced legal trainer and has worked with women from the grass-roots, legal aid lawyers, police and judges on laws in women and girls. 

Lainie is a writer, editor, and strategic communications practitioner based in Southeast Asia. She is invested in helping organisations responsibly tell their stories.

Prisca Chipao (LLM International Human Rights Law candidate, ICHR, NUIG) is a Human rights lawyer and Founder of Empower, Malawi.

Shantel is a Rhodes scholar studying law at the University of Oxford. She is passionate about advocacy, policy and international human rights law.

Winner of the 2016 International Children’s Peace Prize, 20-year-old Kehkashan is an iconic youth leader, global influencer, environmentalist, champion of women and children’s rights, TEDx speaker, Climate Reality Mentor, author, musician, peace and sustainability campaigner.

Anika is the East Africa Co-ordinator for AMPLIFY GIRLS and convener of Young women in Political Parties Leadership.

Suneeta Dhar is Senior Advisor to Jagori, Delhi, a founder of Sangat, and a member of South Asian Women’s Fund and several other organizations and campaigns.

Chamathya is currently serving as a member of the Generation Equality Youth Task Force set up by UN Women leading the global youth work of the Generation Equality Campaign.

Latanya Mapp Frett (she/her/hers) is President and CEO of Global Fund for Women, one of the world’s leading foundations for gender equality, providing seed funds and fiscal sponsorship for over 5,000 organizations and groups across 176 countries.

Dipti is International Program Coordinator for Climate Justice and Energy. She has been in the role since March 2012. She is hosted by JA! / Justiça Ambiental / Friends of the Earth Mozambique where she also works on climate justice and dirty energy.

Julieta is a 17-year-old student and founder of the TREMENDAS Collaborative Platform that promotes the empowerment of girls, adolescents and young people by inviting them to put their skills and talents at the service of the community to generate social impact.

Leanne Sajor is a migrant, intersectional feminist from the Philippines. She facilitates political education programs, organizes campaigns, and coordinates participatory research projects with civil society organizations and movements to strengthen solidarities and collective action.

Tanya Khokhar is a senior policy expert serving as ICRW’s day-to-day lead for engagement and policy advocacy with the Beijing +25/Generation Equality Forum — supporting ambitious, evidence-based commitments by participating governments to advance the Beijing+25 agenda for gender equality.

Hon. Martha Karua is a social justice advocate, Senior Counsel and politics and governance expert with a career of over 30 years rooted in law and spanning across social activism, judicial constitutional and political arenas.

Xenia Kellner (she/her) is a Co-Founder of Young Feminist Europe (YFE), a young intersectional feminist led organization that aims to amplify young feminist voices and activities through campaigns, advocacy and movement building.

Andrea Parra is an attorney, feminist legal activist, experiential trainer and translator. She holds a law degree from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia and an LLM in American Law from Boston University.

Anika is the East Africa Co-ordinator for AMPLIFY. She recently joined us from the Green Congress of Kenya (a member of the Global Greens) where she served as Executive Director.

Nino Ugrekhelidze is a feminist activist with over 10 years of experience working with global grassroots organisations to advance gender justice and human rights. Currently she is coordinating the Beijing Unfettered Project, a  young feminist movement mobilization work at AWID.

Joseph Julius is currently National Peer Educator in Employability project which is managed by Restless Development Organization. He is conducting sessions to secondary schools and college students in Tanzania.

Carol started her career as a media personality before launching Alta Vista Events, which owns the largest barbecue festival in East Africa, The Nyama Choma Festival. To this date, notwithstanding insurmountable challenges, the platform continues to promote SMEs and provide employment opportunities.

Sally Al Haq is a researcher, writer, editor focusing on censorship in media, art production and digital surveillance in Egypt. Sally is devoted to building literature around feminist realities, movement building, feminist internet.

Faith is a youth development expert in youth-led development programming & organizing. She is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar at the
University of Edinburgh with an MSc degree in Africa and International Development. At 19, she co-found Copper Rose, a pioneering youth-led organization championing meaningful youth engagement in sexual reproductive health in Zambia. 

Nafisa Ferdous (she/her) is an intersectional feminist and the Senior Program Manager for Restless Development US. She has a background in gender and sexual rights having worked in movement spaces as well as in gender and development in Asia, the US, East Africa and Latin America for over 8 years. 

Abel Koka is a young feminist from Tanzania. He is working as a Program Coordinator at Restless Development. Abel is also a member of the Generation Equality Youth Task Force set up by UN Women to lead the global youth to meaningfully contribute to all structures of the Generation Equality Forum.

Vanyashree (she/her) works as Communications Officer at Restless Development India. Earlier, she has worked with a Public Relations agency for National Geographic, and marketing for global leadership organization, AIESEC. For Feminist Action Lab, she has lead the design and marketing of the project.

Samwel Gisayi works as Youth Officer at Restless Development Tanzania. He is passionate about Communications and uses it as a tool to advocate for Social Justice & Gender Equality, environmental conservation and empowering youth.

Sarojini (she/her) works on Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning with Restless Development India.  She is passionate about centering her work around climate justice, “missing” data and community-led development.

Sonaksha is an illustrator, graphic recorder and book designer. They use art to contribute to social justice movements and work with organisations defending human rights and the environment. They are currently dreaming and drawing about mental health, community care, fat liberation, queerness and intersectional feminism.

Annabella is a visual storyteller specialized in documentary filmmaking, editing and photography. As a consultant she works for international civil society organisations producing videos and developing (online) training for diverse audiences. She is the co-founder of Springroll Media, an award-winning feminist media production company. 

Hands Up is passionate about helping organisations that want to change the world to communicate more clearly, using web, animation and film. They help organisations and individuals increase their impact, so they can spend their money on social good, not high agency fees.
